11 Nights/12 Days

Day 1. BUCHAREST – Arrival at Bucharest Airport and transfer to the hotel.
Welcome drink and dinner.

Day 2. BUCHAREST – Full day city tour with stops at University Square, Revolution Square, Military Academy, Union Square, the Arch of Triumph. Optional lunch in the Old Town at the “Beer Chariot” Restaurant. Afternoon visit the Parliament House, built by former communist dictator Ceausescu, the 2nd largest building in the world after the Pentagon. Dinner with Folklore Show and overnight.

Day 3. BUCHAREST/SIGHISOARA - Departure via the scenic Olt Valley with a stop at the Cozia Monastery. Drive to Transylvania and arrive in the city of Sibiu for a walking tour of the Old Town and lunch (optional) in a typical Romanian restaurant. Continue deep in the heart of Transylvania and visit the Saxon Church from Biertan. Arrival in Sighisoara, the only medieval fortress in Europe still inhabited. Accommodation inside the old fortress and dinner in Dracula’s House.

Day 4. SIGHISOARA/CAMPULUNG MOLDOVENESC – After morning walking tour of Old Town continue your drive through Transylvania and visit the cities of Targu Mures and Bistrita. Afternoon arrival in Campulung Moldovenesc, in the province of MOLDAVIA for dinner and overnight.

Day 5. CAMPULUNG MOLDOVENESC/PIATRA NEAMT – A full day dedicated to visiting the painted monasteries of Northern Moldavia, all of them included in the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE for their beauty. Visit Moldovita, Sucevita, Voronet and Piatra Neamt Monasteries. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6. PIATRA NEAMT/BAIA MARE – Today we cross the Carpathian Mountains from MOLDAVIA to MARAMURES, via the Prislop Pass with its breath-taking views. Visit the wooden church of Moisei and stop in Sighetul Marmatiei.
Afternoon visit the “Merry Cemetery” of Sapanta. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7. BAIA MARE – Full day visit the scenic country site of Maramures and its wooden churches. Return to Baia Mare for dinner and overnight.

Day 8. BAIA MARE/TARGU MURES – From the rolling hills of Maramures to the grandiose mountains of Transylvania, we visit the Castle of Hunedoara and arrive in Targu Mures for dinner and overnight.

Day 9. TARGU MURES/SIBIU – Drive through the heart of Transylvania and arrive in the city of Sibiu for a walking tour of the Old Town. Continue to the village of Sibiel and see the famous museum of icons painted on glass. Traditional Romanian Dinner and accommodations in a peasant’s gust house.

Day 10. SIBIU/BRASOV – Drive over the CarpathianMountains and visit Cisnadie Church and Sambata de Sus Monastery. Arrive in Brasov for a walking tour of the Old Town and a visit of the Black Church. Dinner and overnight

Day 11. BRASOV/BRAN CASTLE/PELES PALACE/BUCHAREST – Morning drive to Bran Castle, famous for the legend of Count Dracula. Continue to the resort town of Sinaia and visit the Peles Royal Palace with its impressive art collection and Sinaia Monastery. Stop for a visit of the wine cellars from Azuga and wine tasting(optional). In the afternoon drive back to Bucharest. Farewell dinner & overnight.

Day 12. BUCHAREST/USA – Transfer to the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination in Europe.

6 Nights/7 Days

Day 1 (Oct 28) – BUCHAREST- Arrival at Bucharest Airport and transfer to your hotel. Welcome drink and dinner.

Day 2 (Oct 29) – BUCHAREST – Full day city tour including a visit of the Parliament House, the 2nd largest building in the world, after the Pentagon, built by Ceausescu, the former communist dictator of Romania. Optional lunch in the Old Town, at the “Beer Chariot” Restaurant. Dinner with Folklore Show and overnight.

Day 3 (Oct 30) – BUCHAREST/SIBIU – Drive via scenic Olt Valley to Transylvania with a stop at Cozia Monastery. Arrival in Sibiu for a city tour, including a visit of the Brukenthal Museum. Continue to the village of Sibiel to see the museum of icons painted on glass, followed by dinner and overnight in a peasant’s guest house.

Day 4 (Oct 31) – SIBIU/SIGHISOARA – Drive to the medieval city of Sighisoara and check in at a hotel located inside the medieval walls of the Old Town. Lunch will be served in the house where Count Dracula was born, followed by a visit of the Citadel.
Evening Halloween Dinner & Party.

Day 5 (Nov 1) – SIGHISOARA/BRASOV – Continue through the heart of Transylvania over the Carpathian Mountains and arrive in the city of Brasov.
Visit the Black Church and the Old Town Square and on to Bran for a visit of Dracula’s Castle. Dinner and overnight in the resort of Poiana Brasov.

Day 6 (Nov 2) – BRASOV/BUCHAREST – Visit the wine cellars of Azuga, then on to Sinaia for a tour of Peles Royal Palace with its impressive art collection. Stop at the Monastery of Sinaia and return to Bucharest for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 (Nov 3) – BUCHARETS/USA – Transfer to the airport for your flight back home, or to the next destination in Europe.
